Who We Are ? About Ranjhi Foundation
RANJHI is founded by youths, who were once less privileged. They strived hard in their own educational journey and graduated from renowned institutes of India like Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Karve Institute of Social Service (KINSS). They believe that their life positively changed because of the education that they pursued. With this motivation and passion to bring change, they founded RANJHI in 2023.
RANJHI is a section 8 non-profit organisation currently operating in the communities of Pune and Hingoli in Maharashtra State. We aim to create collective efforts for equal opportunity in the communities of India.
Our Vision
We strive for equal opportunities to enable a life with dignity of the last human in the society.
Our Philosophy
When we think about Ranjhi, we think of ‘collectivism’. Our philosophy is shaped on the basis of different attributes of the bamboo plant. The important characteristic of bamboo is that it grows collectively, sharing strength from each other’s roots with zero discrimination, and acts as an enhancing resource with a feature of sustainability. Therefore, the word ‘Ranjhi’ derived from this philosophy which means ‘a collective bunch of bamboos’ in Madiya language spoken in the tribal regions of India.
